The national level Qiangtang Nature Reserve is located in the northwestern part of Tibet, many rare species of wild animals such as Tibetan wild donkey, yaks and Tibetan Antelopes live there. Statistics show the coverage of natural environmental protection area takes 1/3 of the Tibet Autonomous Region, there are 125 kinds of national level wild animals and 39 kinds of wild plants.
The numbers of wild animals in Qiangtang Nature Reserve is stable and increasing gradually as a result of protection strength.
