Pangong Lake: Paradise for migrant birds
Photo taken on April 21, 2010, shows brown-headed gulls playing on the Pangong Lake, Rutog County, western Tibet's Ngari Prefecture. Lying on the China-India border, the lake is one of the three major boundary lakes in the country. With a host of islands, the lake has attracted various precious species of birds, including those under national protection such as brown-headed gulls, cygnets, yellow ducks, bar-headed geese and black-necked cranes.
