Zhou Xiansheng, a 27-year-old young man from Xinyang City of Henan Province, has been riding over 2500 kilometers on the Qinghai-Tibet Highway, leaving nearly 1500 kilometers forwardly. This summer, Zhou gives up his former job and has been riding from Chengdu to Tibet through the Sichuan-Tibet line. "Tibet is an excellent place that can open people's mind. I have heard that there are altogether 8 highways to Tibet and it is my dream that riding all over the 8 lines," said Zhou.

Li Xiaoming, a businessman from Beijing, has gone for self-driving to Tibet every two or three years since 2002 and has been through most parts of Tibet. "I wish I could travel through the 318 National Road from beginning to end of next year, having a final look at the scenery of the old way before the opening of new road," said Li.
