College in Beijing makes donations to Tibetan stud

On April 21, 2014, Beijing Vocational College of Arts & Media donated 300,000 yuan (about 48119 U.S. dollars) to 100 Tibetan students in high school or college who are excellent in character and learning but poor at family economy, aiming at encouraging them to study hard and prepare for making contributions to the society. A symposium was held by the Education Department of Tibet Autonomous Region, Beijing Vocational College of Arts & Media and the funded students.

Yang Bo, dean of Beijing Vocational College of Arts & Media said that it is the responsibility of society to concern poor students and help them to improve themselves emotionally and materially. The college also donated books including traditional classics The Four Books (The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Analects of Confucius and Mencius) to the Tibetan students.

Tibetan students showed their gratitude to the donors and said in the future they will study hard to contribution to the construction of Tibet and realize their dreams.
