BEIJING, Sept. 29 (China Tibet Online) The art salon themed with "Beauty of Tibet in my eyes" was held by the China Tibet Online at the National Grand Theatre for the Performing Arts，as an important part of the 2nd "Beauty of Tibet" Painting Contest Exhibition.

Gold award winners Tritsug Rabten and He Yanwu, winner of the excellent work Ken Ko from the U.S. as well as dozens of award-winning artists and foreigners from the United Kingdom, Germany and France in Beijing attended the salon. The guests spoke highly of the painting contest and exhibition, the development of Tibet and the changes in people's life.

Guests from home and abroad visited the exhibition accompanied by the awarded artists and editors of the China Tibet Online. The Tibetan and Han artists talked about what they had seen and heard during their stay in Tibet and shared their own reflections on the 2nd "Beauty of Tibet" Painting Contest Exhibition with the foreign friends. The guests appreciated the "harmony" and "beauty" of today's Tibet in the displayed paintings. The foreigners also talked about their views on the painting exhibition and Tibet's development, as well as gave comments about the painting contest exhibition.

The foreign guests also raised questions about the exhibition and current situation of Tibet. The award-winning artists gave answers based on their own experience in Tibet or Tibetan-inhabited areas, which aroused strong interests among the foreign guests.In the end, the foreign guests provided comments and suggestions for the daily reports of the China Tibet Online.

The salon was publicized on the communication networks such as bbs.tibet.cn, Sina microblog and Tencent microblog by the organizers.

Co-sponsored by the China Tibet Online and Tibetculture.net, the 2nd "Beauty of Tibet" Painting Contest is supervised by the Chinese Artists Association and the United Front Work Department of the CPC Central Committee, and co-organized by the Literary Federation of Tibet Autonomous Region.

According to the organizing committee, the contest has awarded five gold awards, 10 silver awards as well as 15 bronze awards. A total of 200 outstanding entries are on display at the exhibition. The paintings are on show for feee from 9 am to 5 pm every day from Sept.26 to Oct.10.

In 2011, the 1st "Beauty of Tibet" Painting Contest was held in Beijing. The awarded works were exhibited in Beijing, Shanghai, Berlin, Hamburg, Sydney and Canberra respectively, which had been well-received by the audience home and abroad.
