Following the east wind, the spring of 2013 finally arrives in the Qinghai-Tibet plateau, later than previous years.

Red flowers, green leaves and singing birds call for the arrival of spring. Girls also change their clothes to embrace the warm weather.

The old Chinese saying goes that the whole year's work depends on a good start in spring. The spring sowing in Tibet has already begun in March.

Tractors begin to plough on the fertile land and farmers are busy sowing the seeds which are chosen carefully.

They present the pure white Khada, raise the cups of Tibet buttered tea and highland barley wine, sing the toasts song and dance happily to welcome the most important season for agriculture.

With endless hope and hard working, the Tibetans will create their own harvest for life.
