Lhamo, a 33-year-old Tibetan woman, is a bellwether to develop family tourism in the Tashigang Village of Lunang Town, the Nyingchi Prefecture of Tibet Autonomous Region.
It has been over 10 years since she set up the first family inn in the village and then many family inns have mushroomed under her guidance. Nowadays, every family in the Tashigang Village lives on tourism.
The Lunang Town, know as China's Switzerland and Tibet's Gangnam region, is famous for its colorful snowy mountain chiming in with forest and pasture. The superior natural conditions and rich tourism resources promote the development of its tourism industry at a rapid speed.
As for the local people, their Chinese Dream is common prosperity and ecological protection, which are supported by the tourism industry.

With a low-level education but active mind and industrious hands, Lhamo works hard with her husband, paving their own way of developing family inn based on favorable ecological tourism resources. Different from her business woman image, she said shyly that the family inn can bring her family of six with over 300,000 yuan ($4840) every year.
Another new family inn they invest in is being decorated, preparing for the coming peak tourist season in Tibet.
"My Chinese Dream is the same as the dream of everyone else in my village. We all want to live a happy and rich life relying on tourism and ecological resources," Lhamo said.
She is also expecting to travel to Beijing, Yunnan, Guangxi and other places to learn the tourism development experience.
In addition, she also has the plan to learn English, French and German in order to receive more foreign tourists easily and introduce more Tibetan folk and culture to them.

Data shows that tourism industry brought the Tashigang Village more than two million yuan (about $323,800) in 2012, and the average income for every family was more than 30,000 yuan (about $4857).
Lhamo's family inn makes a demonstration effect not only on her villages, but also on the neighboring villages.
Tsering Yangzom, assistant of the head of Tashigang Village and also a college-graduate village official said that villages have division tasks respectively, some provide the Tashigang Village Tibetan chickens and Tibetan pigs, and others provide horses and vegetables. Therefore, the local people of neighboring villages generally earn more money.
