Deputies to the first session of the 12th National People's Congress (NPC) from southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region arrived in Beijing, capital of China, on March 2, 2013.

Among them are three female deputies: Baema Qoezhoen, deputy of the Moinba nationality; Tashi Yangjen, deputy of the Lhoba nationality; and Kalsang Drolkar, deputy of the Tibetan nationality.

The 29-year-old Baema Qoezhoen is the party branch secretary of Padentse Village, which locates in Deshing Township of Metok County of Nyingchi Prefecture, Tibet. She comes to Beijing as a deputy to 12th NPC for the first time and is also the youngest in the Tibet delegation. Yet, she has prepared proposals after a full investigation in the Padentse Village, bringing the villagers' hope to Beijing for a better and more developed Tibet with the support of the whole country in the future.

As the party branch secretary of Tharma Village of Nachen Township of Lhasa, Kalsang Drolkar feels excited when talking about the new changes of her village and can't wait to share them with other deputies in Beijing.

"Last year, every family of Tharma village was installed with heating equipment," said by Kalsang Drolkar

The Tibet delegation for the 12th NPC has 20 deputies, 14 of which are from ethnic-minority groups, including Tibetan (12), Lhoba (1), Moinba (1) nationalities and four female deputies.
