Tibet's hotel industry is experiencing a booming season compared with the same period last year, owing to people's growing enthusiasm for "doomsday tour" which is drawing near on December 21, 2012.

Information released from Tibet's tourism insiders that hotel reservation rate increases more than 1200% year-on-year. Many hotels are booked up in advance at a price four times that of the same period last year.

Travel agencies came up with promoting strategies such as "doomsday itineraries in Tibet" and "places recommended to go on doomsday", to attract tourists to hurry up to travel before the "end" of the world.

A tourism insider pointed out that doomsday tourism encourages people to go to places they like, to pay more attention to nature, and to enjoy high-quality tour services with relatively low price.
