Palkhor Monastery

Situated at the foot of the Zongshan Mountain in the northwest of Gyangze County, the Palkhor Monastery is composed of four parts: the Coqen Hall, the Buddhist Pagoda, Zhacang (Tibetan Buddhist college), and the Bounding Wall.
The styles of the architecture and oblations of Palkor Monastery express the quintessence of the Sagya Sect, the Gegyu Sect as well as the Gelug Sect.
Gyangze County, known as the "peak of triumph" in the Tibetan language, is located at the upper reaches of the Nyangchu River, a tributary of the Yarlung Zangbo River in southern Tibet Autonomous Region.
