Recently, a giant lotus flower prayer wheel was unveiled on Xiangshan, the Guan Yin Buddha Temple in Jinchuan County of Aba Prefecture in Sichuan Province.

Electric-powered, the prayer wheel measures 26 meters tall, 10 meters in diameter, and contains 20 tons of sutra books, 1,000 pieces of murals, 1,000 pieces of thangka art, and 1,000 gilded Four-Armed Guan Yin Buddha statues.

It weighs 140 tons and turns one meter every five seconds.

The prayer wheel is a grand sight, looks spectacular in the night with lights, and is a landmark building for the Tibetan-inhabited areas.
