Tibetan singing group Akyitai won the "annual innovation" award at the "798 Art district" in Beijing during the China Fashion Week held recently, ynet.com reported.

Noted for its strong singing skills of Tibetan folk songs, Akyitai has not only tried many different musical styles, but also got involved in fashion shows. Besides, it also combines folk music of ethnic Tibetan, Mongolian and Yi with the international pop songs, creating a unique musical style. In addition, Akyitai is also trying to renovate the music along the ancient Silk Road, including Indian, Persian and Greek music and present it to the world.
