Lhatse “duixie” favored by audience

With Tsang characteristic, "duixie" is a folk dance that integrates song, dance and music. It is especially popular in Lhatse County, Shigatse City. With bright and vivacious tone, performers dance and sing to the music of six string guitar.

On the 2007 CCTV Spring Festival Gala, a amateur farmers' art troupe from Lhatse County performed "duixie", shocking audience across the country. The folk Tibetan dance which has been inherited for thousands of years begins to gradually come into view of the country and the world and brings considerable incomes to farmers and herdsmen in Tibet.
