Tibetan Buddhist mantras and symbols made on ice
Tibetan people from the Yushu Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture in northwest China's Qinghai Province made paintings with sands and stones on the frozen Tongtian River that is more than 3,600 meters above the sea level on Feb. 2, 2018.
On the ice, they got sands and stones into shapes of Tibetan Buddhist mantras and eight auspicious symbols both of which are often engraved on stones to wish a good harvest and pray for world peace.
