Benzilan township in Deqin county of Diqing Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Yunnan province, is known for its Tibetan wooden bowls.
Yeshe's family is the largest manufacturer of traditional Tibetan wooden bowls in the local area.
Yeshe says that Tibetans show special preference for traditional Tibetan wooden bowls, because they are both an article of daily use and works of art.
The production of a bowl takes more than 20 procedures, including scraping, lacquering, and airing.
Yeshe's family plant was established in 2004, and now it produces zanba boxes, bowls and furniture, which cost from more than 20 yuan to 20,000 yuan. His products are sold in Tibet autonomous region and Yunnan Sichuan and Qinghai provinces.
