[Video] People line up for porridge on Laba Festival
Thousands of people lined up at the Yonghegong Lama Temple in Beijing, capital of China, for porridge on the Laba Festival which falls on Jan. 24, 2018. "Laba" refers to the eighth day of the twelfth month of the Chinese lunar calendar, on which it is a tradition to have the Laba porridge that is mainly made from eight ingredients. The festival is regarded as the prelude of the Spring Festival. And it's also an important holiday in Buddhism, temples will offer porridge for free to the public on this day.
