Chaka Salt Lake is located in Chaka Township,  Ulan County, Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture,northwest China’s Qinghai Province, 298 km away from  the provincial capital Xining. The lake is the east entrance to the Chadam Basin. Its endless meadows, grazing livestock, and snow-mountains  create a grand natural sight.
