As one of three holy lakes of Tibetan Bon religion, Tangra Yumco Lake is the deepest lake in Tibet with a depth of more than 210 meters. Located in the middle part of northern Tibet plateau, the lake was formed about 3 million years ago and stretches from northeast to southwest, with a length of over 80 kilometers from south to north.
