Specialty products of Qinghai-Tibet Plateau debut in Beijing
On May 20th, an expo for specialty products and ecological livestock industry of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau was held in Beijing. Many kinds of food coming from plateau with an altitude of over 4,000 meters are shown at the exhibition, including yak yogurt, steak, wind-dried meat jerky, yak butter, milk, etc.
In the last few years, the livestock industry on Qinghai-Tibet Plateau has focused on ecological and pollution-free foods via developing traditional livestock industry and food processing industry, increasing the added value of livestock products as well as elevating farmers and herders' income.
